City's Attack is Firing on All Cylinders But Defensive Lapses Cost Them Against BIH

City Gives Away a handful of goals in devestating Loss against BIH

After a sputtering start to the FCSc, City looked back on track in the first minutes of their matchup against BIH. Klepal beat defenders down the line and in the middle smashing two off the cross bar within minutes of the beginning whistle. Dietz and Bernardini opened with each a quality chance of their own. It was looking like City was going to take this one. City would in fact score first as a Glover breakaway would put BIH defender in a bad position, clearing the ball off of Dietz and into BIH's own net. City celebrated but only for a moment as nearly 25 seconds later BIH would tie the game, off a pair of woeful mistakes in the back. City would yet again put themselves in the driver's seat off of a wonderful piece of skill by Aiden Messinger that resulted in a 2-1 City lead. But seconds later BIH would even the score this time off of a corner kick. City would again threaten the BIH net but a stellar performance by BIH Goalkeeper, Lance Childers would keep City at bay. BIH netted two more goals in the first half both off of transition moments that seemed to come out of nowhere. Nevertheless BIH had the quality to put the chances away.

City goes into halftime 2-4

Two goals and a plethora of chances really made it hard to believe that City was down a full two goals at half. As the second half began play, it again featured multiple chances in the attacking half for City but nothing found the back of the net. City then found themselves down another goal off of another corner kick defensive lapse. With the score 2-5 with 15 minutes to play. City finally started to finish chances. The first was off a terrific dribble by Aiden Messinger that result in him ball sliding past the BIH goalkeeper. Moments later City's Klepal would smash one in from beyond the second pk mark after beating a defender 1v1. City was back in business and looked to complete the comback. A shot by Klepal rattled off the cross bar and then a 1v1 by Bernardini put Amundson in position to smash one home. But nothing would fall for City.  The 4-5 scoreline would not hold long as City yet again gave two more transition goals away putting the game out of reach. In the final moments, City's Trent Amundson would slide one past the BIH goalie off of a pass from Glover, but the damage was already done. An 0-2 start for City after the 5-7 loss to BIH

City will look to avoid the bottom of the group seeding on December 3rd as they take on Mitwest Detroit at 6:30 PM at the Lansing City Arena
