What is FCS Futures? --- FCS Futures is the Youth league of the Futsal Champions Series

What is the purpose of FCS Futures? ---FCS Futures' goal is to provide a clear futsal development pathway from U10 all the way up to the highest level of futsal in the country in the FCS both on the boys and Girls side.

How is the FCS Futures Summer Session structured? --- The FCS Futures league consists of 6 divisions: U10, U12, U14, and U16 on both the boys and girls side. Each division will have 10 full court training sessions on Tuesdays (1 Saturday, June 13) from June 2 - August 1, a monthly 1v1 tournament (total of 3) on our small court, with a 4 team tournament during the season. 

Where will the tournament and training sessions for Lansing City FCS Futures be played? --- The Lansing City Arena 

When will the tournaments be played? --- The tournaments will be held on different Saturdays during the summer based on Age group. 

U10 Boys Tournament and U12 Boys Tournament: July 18

U14 Boys Tournament and U16 Boys Tournament: July 25

U10 Girls Tournament and U12 Girls Tournament: Aug 1

U14 Girls Tournament and U16 Girls Tournament: June 27

Will the FCS Futures Summer Tournaments be broadcasted on FCS Live --- The tournament championship games will be broadcast on FCS Live. 

What is the difference between FCS Futures Summer and the Winter Session? - there are many similarities, the biggest difference is the shorter season and just playing in the one tournament. We will continue to build on skills learned in the previous winter session as well as prepare for the upcoming Winter season. Additionally, some of the USL2 soccer players who have played futsal overseas will be helping with the summer session while they are in Lansing for the summer. 

What if my child has never played futsal before and wants to try it before we commit (returning players are welcome too!)?  

We are hosting a 1v1 tournament on Tuesday, May 12 (please sign up on tryout day and select "1v1 Tournament" for the session). 

• U10/U12 Boys and Girls from 7:30pm-8:30pm
• U14/U16 Boys and Girls from 8:30pm-9:30pm

We are hosting two 1- hour training sessions (free of charge) that your child can join on May 23. 

• U10/U12 Boys and Girls from 1pm-2pm
• U14/U16 Boys and Girls from 2pm-3pm

What makes the FCS Futures different than other youth futsal leagues and tournaments?--- FCS Futures is the first connected futsal pathway to the highest level of futsal available in the United States, the FCS men's and women's leagues. FCS futures is the first league with mandated requirements on court sizes. No more tiny postage stamp futsal courts that degrade the game. FCS Futures games are also all stopped clock, which means the games are official FIFA Futsal length and format. These two changes make a huge difference in the way the game is experienced. 

• Cost is $425 for the summer-- This does not include uniforms (returning players from winter 2025/26 do not need to purchase uniforms). Payment plans are available as low as
  $141.67 per payment 
• Training runs from June 2 - August 1 -- Trainings will be at the Lansing City Arena at 904 Elmwood Rd, Lansing, MI 48917
• Team Trainings will be once per week on Tuesday evenings (we will be off the first week of August) plus Box Technical Sessions and 1v1 small group sessions on specified Tuesday and Thursdays. 
• What are Box Technical Sessions? -- The Box is a 25 minute technical training session that is video led and done in the Box room at the Lansing City Arena. These sessions can be scheduled at anytime during the week or weekend. FCS Futures players are encouraged to complete at least one or two sessions per week in the Box. 
• What are 1v1 tournaments? -- We have small court with goals on both sides. We will be using this training environment to host an evening of 1v1 sessions over the course of the season. This small court is also available to be schedule anytime during the week or weekend for training/fun!
• The age groups being offered for the Lansing City FCS Futures groups are the following.
  • U10 Boys (2018 birth year & 2017 birth year)
  • U12 Boys (2016 birth year & 2015 birth year)
  • U14 Boys (2014 birth year & 2013 birth year)
  • U16 Boys (2012 birth year & 2011 birth year)
  • U10 Girls (2018 birth year & 2017 birth year)

• Uniform Ordering - These uniforms will run in a two year cycle. Only first year players will need to order the basic uniform kit for the summer. Uniform Ordering   (You will need to wait for a number assignment from your coach before ordering)
  • Items required for 2026 FCS Futures Summer Home Jersey Kit, Away Jersey Kit--All other items are optional -- Goalkeepers will need to order GK Kits instead of the regular jersey kit. Training kit is the same for GK
