City Beats Flint in Pre-Season Game

Two goals by amundson and three by Klepal lead city to pre season victory against Flint sporting

The Game

City rostered a young squad with five out of the ten players rostered City Youth academy products. It was Flint Sporting's first ever game as a futsal club and it shockingly got out to a 2-0 start against City. A sloppy pass by City led to the first goal with a second goal added after another ball was given away by City in the attacking half. City's Klepal shortly after the 2nd goal seemed to take over. First, setting up City's Trent Amundson to smash the ball in the goal from 10 meters out, and then adding a goal of his own taking on two players on the side before smashing it in the top right corner of the net. With about two minutes to go in the first half City's Amundson then returned the favor by setting up Klepal off a corner kick. Klepal smashed the ball with his left foot into the net putting City up by one.

The second half have saw little to now possession of the ball by Flint by somehow managed to by two goals in off of yet another two City giveaways. But yet again City's Klepal and Amundson would answer back with an almost identical play to the first half that ended with Amundson smashing another one in from 10 meters out. Late in the second half an excellent transition out of the back led to a two on one with the Flint goalie. City's Danny Buegar played a one-two with Klepal who slid it in the back of the net to put City up by one. With a minute to go, City's Klepal dribbled down the right side of the court before faking a shot that led to a Flint player and Goalie sliding off the court leaving the goal wide open for Michael Dietz to tap one in.
