City Loses 4-2 in Cincinnati

City's lost 4-2 against Ginga. Despite a league recorded shot advantage of 37 shots to 11 City fell short in Cincinnati. We got Jeremy Klepal's thoughts on the game and the upcoming game against Mitwest this Friday.

Interviewer "How did you feel about the game against Ginga?"

Klepal " It was a little hard analyzing the game on Saturday,  as driving ten hours in a day and playing a game is tough. But after we were able to review the film it was pretty clear what we have to fix."

Interviewer "What do you feel needs to be fixed?"

Klepal" Well Ginga had two shots on goal and a total of about five passes completed by minute 12 in the first half and we were down 2-0 This means our efficiency on defense is poor. We give up goals in circumstances that were too easy"

Interviewer " It seemed City controlled a majority of the game with Ginga playing it long into two high players. This is different from years past. Why do you think the change?"

Klepal "Typically the game doesn't go that way. We don't usually control that much of the flow of the game. We are used to more counterattacks and an even flow of possession. But in our first two pre-season games and now this one against Ginga, we controlled the flow of the game. I think this is a good sign"

Interviewer " You went down 4-0. That's not a good sign as a team. What are you thoughts"

Klepal "The game defensively was almost the same against Inter Detroit. We gave up goals in chunks and the goals we gave up were in transition moments. Except one of them against Ginga. We have a really young team and I think some maturity is taking place. It would have been good to have another prep game as we grow into this new rhythm as a team. But the chances Ginga had they scored and they did a good job of that.

Interviewer" You take on Mitwest this Friday. What's the outlook?"

Klepal " Mitwest is 0-2 and has a goal differential of -22. We should win this game and move on to the next. Midwest United is the exciting one."
